Thirteen, a ‘Lucky’ number

Pause and breathe right here across the page.  Gratitude, not only a virtue, but a feeling.  Today, I am a grateful citizen of the United States of America.  Today, this moment is all I am assured of and all I will ever own in this lifetime.  Yet, as the economy in these parts is uncertain, and a call goes out for the raising price of gas and unemployment to cease, I feel as though all we as a culture, society and nation may do is watch in apathetic horror and point the finger(s) collectively and individually at the institutions that ‘control’ ‘what’ ‘goes’ ‘on.’

There was a time that the media and the underground press that our forefathers used were the only means to assemble, plan, and disseminate information during the American Revolution.  It worked so well, that our 1st Amendment still preserves our right(s) to express.

The original 13 colonies were an experiment.

Let’s try to get back to that sentiment, feeling or notion before another day passes.Imagether
